Matt Crawford Joins Verger's Board of Managers

The Verger Capital Management Board of Managers is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Crawford as a member of the Board. Crawford is the Founding Managing Director of PTV Healthcare Capital, a venture capital firm founded in 2003 to invest in growth opportunities within the healthcare and life sciences spaces and dedicated to enabling healthcare entrepreneurs and supporting global innovation.

Prior to founding PTV Healthcare Capital, he was a Partner at Academy Fund, a venture capital firm based in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. He has held numerous positions in finance over his thirty-year career, including private equity, venture capital, and banking, offering his strength as a leader and entrepreneur to these industries.

Crawford has served on numerous public and private boards throughout his career, including those of several non-profit institutions. These include serving as a Committee member for The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council, the Children’s Council for the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, and the Rise School of Austin.

Crawford received his Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University, where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.
