As the year comes to a close, I want to express my gratitude to Verger’s clients, our community, and our team – the people who bring our mission of investing in the lives of others to life every day. Looking back on what is now more than a decade of purpose and shared achievement, I continue to be inspired by the positive energy, collaboration, and dedication constantly on display.
What inspires me the most is the Verger team’s ability to harness this energy and collaborative spirit to serve our clients and their dynamic needs. In partnering with a wide range of non-profit organizations and their Boards, we see firsthand the complexities that our endowment and foundation clients navigate each day. Whether adapting to shifting sector dynamics, advancing fundraising efforts, or implementing new strategies and technologies to better serve their communities, the work is continually evolving and increasingly complex.
It’s why we’re especially proud of our growing team and our ability to gear everything we do at Verger towards our clients’ lasting success. Our investment team remains firmly focused on meeting client needs, both today and over the long term – with a disciplined approach to an all-weather portfolio that can capture upside when it is available, protect on the downside during rough periods, and continue to provide liquidity when necessary to fund clients’ non-profit missions. Likewise, our service and operations teams understand the importance of responsiveness and meticulous attention to detail in supporting back-office functions as well as Board and stakeholder requests.
Because, ultimately, we believe that while stewarding a non-profit mission is a complicated responsibility, it is also a monumentally meaningful one. The intricate challenge of weighing an organization’s present needs and opportunities against those of the future is a delicate balancing act – one at the heart of a non-profit Board’s many responsibilities. It is our honor to help our non-profit clients execute this balancing act every day as we partner to steward their collective $3.1 Billion in assets. And it is our pleasure to celebrate and amplify the diverse non-profit missions we represent through our volunteer work, special programs, events, and partnerships.
