Verger in the Community: Senior Services

Verger’s team recently participated in Senior Services' Christmas in July donation campaign. The team collected essential items such as non-perishable foods, deodorant, lotions, soaps, laundry detergent, and pet food. Senior Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults, supports seniors in remaining in their homes for as long as possible while ensuring they live with dignity. The organization provides essential programs and services such as Meals-on-Wheels, in-home care, and adult day care. Verger's participation in this drive reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back to the Winston-Salem community and providing care and support to our neighbors.

Tricia Walker, Verger's Operations Director and leader of many of our philanthropy initiatives set up donation boxes in the office, and team members brought in items. A particularly meaningful moment was when the grandsons of one of our staff members volunteered to support this drive. They contributed food and personal hygiene products, making it a family affair.

As part of Verger's mission To Invest in the Lives of Others, we are pleased to support local organizations such as Senior Services. For more information on how you can support them in Winston-Salem, please visit their website here
