Members of the Verger team recently attended the 2026 NBOA Annual Meeting and were grateful for the opportunity to connect with and learn alongside clients and members of the independent school community. The Verger team was especially proud to once again act as the NBOA Gives Back Charity Sponsor for the event.
This year, the gathering featured energizing conversations about top-of-mind topics for independent school business officers – including leadership, community building, technology, and the importance of a resilient endowment and balance sheet. A common theme across panels included equipping leaders and organizations to navigate rapid change by activating their most critical resource: their people.
Verger has been honored to be part of the NBOA community over the years, supporting our mission to act as an extension of staff for our independent school, higher education, and other non-profit clients. We are proud to support the work of NBOA: Business Leadership for Independent Schools, its unique focus on supporting independent school business officers and business operations staff, and its important role in promoting and evolving industry best practices.
Verger’s Support of NBOA Gives Back
As a Gold Sponsor of this year’s annual meeting, Verger partnered with NBOA for the fourth consecutive time on the NBOA Gives Back program. This year, Verger’s partnership with NBOA Gives Back spotlighted the work of the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) and its mission of positively impacting the lives of at-risk and underserved youth throughout Central Florida.
Verger’s support helped drive meaningful impact, contributing over $5,000 to the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) and advancing its mission to empower at-risk children and families. Through this partnership with NBOA Gives Back, Verger is proud to support programs that create lasting change and invest in brighter futures.
Verger’s support made it possible to raise awareness for this unique philanthropy and present OMYF with over $5,000 to benefit their charitable work supporting programs and partnerships designed to empower families and change lives. For more than 35 years, OMYF has supported non-profit organizations with programs in the areas of education, health and wellness, homelessness, and the arts. To date, the foundation has distributed more than $30 million in grants, reaching over two million children and families.
Verger applauds this organization’s important work and NBOA’s platform for giving back. Partnering with the NBOA Gives Back program is a powerful way for Verger to contribute to the independent school community and further our mission – to invest in the lives of others.
Engage, Integrate, and Educate
At Verger, our client service model is built on three pillars: Engage, Integrate, and Educate. These pillars are the foundation on which the Verger team strives to be an extension of our non-profit clients' staff. This work includes staying informed of the changing landscape our clients face and up to date on topics impacting their organizations’ overall health. Conferences and industry gatherings are an important tool for continued learning and collaboration and give our team valuable insights to better serve our clients.
Please join Verger in thanking the organizers and attendees of the 2026 NBOA Annual Meeting for the opportunities to connect and learn, and, importantly, spotlight the hard, behind-the-scenes work that generates positive impact for schools, students, and communities.
